Alex

About 10 years ago, Miho and I were walking around Sai Kung town when we saw a sign for reflexology on the upper floor of a building a little beyond Patsy House. That's when we met Alex Ngan, who was just starting his business in a cosy little room. We became his regular clients and occasionally got a massage from his sidekick, Pearl, as well.

He late moved to more spacious premises on Sai Kung Square. Over the years, there were periods when I dropped off or visited other reflexologists. But, what I enjoy his treatment not only for its skill but also because he speaks English and is able to converse on any topic. Yesterday, we discussed movies, the economy, expats moving to Thailand for cheaper living, the uncertainties facing Thailand is their monarch passes away, etc.

Alex is still youthful. The rent for his premises has increased substantially and so has his rates! Apprentice reflexologists and masseues have come and gone, but Pearl is still with him. His business seems to be going well, and, in these unceratin times, thank goodness for that.
